TraveloguesEl Salvador 2007By Jules Kragen : Images by Jules Kragen and Jeremiah Pick During the first half of March 2007 Jeremiah and I traveled to El Salvador to visit several farms that supply our company with organic coffee and to meet the farmers and millers who work there. I learned a great deal about the country, its long coffee history, and the dedication of these farmers who are producing coffee in a social, ecological and economically responsible manner. From May 14 through 21 Jeremiah and I had the opportunity to visit Peru. Peru has become a key producer of specialty coffee over the past five years as their quality and reliability have increased. Our trip confirmed what Jeremiah had found in tastings, a unique country with a dedication to improving the quality of their coffees to the standards of specialty coffee. It is a country rich in history and spirit. Please enjoy our journey to Peru. Join us on our trip to Peru! >> Central American Coffee Growers 2002by Jules Kragen : photos by Jeremiah Pick
In January 2002, Jeremiah and I journeyed to Central America to visit growers that we work with and to establish relationships with others who share our vision of coffee; a dedication to quality and consistency. Our trip took us to three countries, Costa Rica, Nicaragua and Panama. Each country offered a different vision of coffee and its relation to a country and an economy. All three countries are major exporters of quality Arabica beans. |
